These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Billsfort app ("the App"), provided by generictec ("we"). By installing or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Licence to use
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use the App on your devices, for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the app store where you obtained it.
2. Account and eligibility
The App works without an account. Creating an account is optional and only enables data sync across devices. You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. You are responsible for keeping your device - and, where applicable, your account credentials - secure.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
The App is free to download and use for its core features. The Premium plan unlocks additional features and is available as:
- Monthly - €2.99 per month;
- Yearly - €29.99 per year;
- Lifetime - €79.99, one-time payment.
Prices are shown in euros and may vary by region and applicable taxes. Purchases are processed and billed by the App Store or Google Play and are subject to those platforms' terms.
4. Renewal, cancellation and refunds
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel renewal at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; Premium access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no renewal. Refunds are handled by the app store, in line with its policies and your statutory consumer rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the App, except as permitted by law; (b) circumvent licensing or paid-feature access mechanisms; (c) use the App for unlawful purposes or in a way that harms the service or third parties.
6. Your data and backups
The App is local-first: your data is stored on your device. You are responsible for backups (CSV export or an encrypted backup to your own Google Drive). We are not responsible for data loss resulting from deleting the App, device failure or loss, or the absence of a backup. The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The App, the "Billsfort" brand, the design, the code and the content are owned by generictec and protected by law. These Terms transfer no intellectual property rights to you, only the licence to use described above. Your financial data is and remains yours.
8. Disclaimer
Billsfort is a personal finance organisation tool and does not provide financial, tax, accounting or investment advice. The insights and forecasts ("savings intelligence") are estimates generated from the data you enter and are intended only to support your own decisions. The App is provided "as is", without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, generictec shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for loss of data or profit, arising from the use or inability to use the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights in the EU.
10. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update, change or discontinue features of the App, and we may revise these Terms. We'll post the revised version on this page, with the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of them.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Portugal, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your EU country of residence. The European Commission also provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
